Subotica, November 23rd, 2016 - The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and American agency for international development (USAID) donated the equipment for the Public kitchen of Red Cross of Subotica wich value is one millione dinars. This donation enabled to the biggest public kitchen in Vojvodina the preparation of additional 400 meals per day. Public kitchen prepares 1,100 meals per day during the period longer then 20 years. Thanks to the donation, this kitcen will prepare now 1,500 meals per day for local community members and for migrants.
By increasing of the kitchen capacities for the preparation and delivery of the larger number of meals for the families of Subotica, the Town of Subotica which helps everyday function of the of Red Cross kitchen, will improve their social services. At this occasion, Dr Siniša Trajkovic, the Secretary of the town organization od Red Cross of Subotica, said: „I want to express gratitude for the donation which will enable that the larger number of the families in our town have solid and regular meal and in this way improved quality of thier lives.
Funds for this donation were provided within the „Support for local response to refugee crisis project“ of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and USAID Serbia. This projects of the 18 months duration is realized in the municipalities of Šid, Subotica, Tutin, Sjenica, Preševo, Dimitrovgrad i Lajkovac.
