PR and Communication Specialist

Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation is searching for qualified applicants for the full-time position of PR and Communication Specialist.

General qualifications:

  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, Marketing, or other relevant area or university degree with relevant experience;
  • At least 3 years of experience in the below specified areas of communication:
  • Experience and knowledge in public relations and public awareness;
  • Experience and knowledge in dealing with traditional media and social media promotion;
  • Experience in working with PR agencies;
  • Experience in organizing promotional events;
  • Understanding of Serbia's political and socio-economic situation;
  • Working in communication team within NGO will be considered as advantage.

Main duties:

  • In cooperation with the Communication Director and PR Manager, create and implement PR strategies for promotion of all Divac Foundation projects;
  • In cooperation with the Communication Director and PR Manager, develop strategies for communicating projects’ successes and outreach for storytelling;
  • Responsible for implementation of promotional campaigns;
  • Write and disseminate media documents (media invitations, news, press releases, etc) and respond to requests for information from the media;
  • In cooperation with the Communication Director and PR Manager, organize public events such as conferences, media brunches and round tables;
  • Coordinate the work of PR agency, designers and advertisers;
  • Prepare publications and content for the website, blogs, and newsletter;
  • Cooperation with the designer in preparation of promotion materials such as roll ups, leaflets, brochures and other branding materials;
  • Assist with taking, editing and organizing photo and video material.
  • Produce and disseminate content for social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn;
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with media representatives;
  • Contribute to project report preparation including media reports;
  • Work in data bases;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications.

    

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Social media skills with the ability to give the organization a "voice" in the wider traditional and digital media;
  • Time management with the ability to meet deadlines and coordination skills;
  • Ability to organize and deliver when working under pressure and within changing circumstances;
  • Fluency in English and Serbian, written and spoken;
  • Valid driving license.
