The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation Partners with Serbia Business Run to Organize "Race for Forests" Tree Planting Initiative
The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, in partnership with Serbia Business Run, is organizing the "Race for Forests" tree planting initiative again this year. The goal is for socially responsible companies operating in Serbia to donate trees that will be planted in a selected location. Last year, with the support of numerous companies, 2,000 trees were planted in Zrenjanin.
This year, the reforestation efforts will be organized in collaboration with Fruška Gora National Park.
Companies can join us again this year by purchasing seedlings through the website serbiabusinessrun.com/trka-za-sume or by signing a Donation Agreement with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation.
Everyone can participate in the "Race for Forests," and together we all win. It is a "race" that contributes to the betterment of all of us. It’s a race for a better and healthier environment.
All participating companies in the "Race for Forests" have the opportunity to contribute by purchasing tree packages. The price per package for one "runner," or employee, is 1,200 dinars, but companies are free to donate any amount they wish. One green package will enable the planting of six oak trees aimed at reforesting Fruška Gora.
Fruška Gora, with its unique flora and fauna, numerous endangered, rare, and protected plant and animal species, as well as many fossil sites, is often referred to as "a mirror of geological history." It is one of the most significant areas in our country. However, the rich forested areas require constant maintenance and renewal. Over 12,000 hectares contain old trees with reduced natural regeneration capability, and due to various ownership and forest management practices in the past, the number of oaks and beeches has diminished over time. By planting oak trees, we contribute to the sustainability of this natural jewel.
As in previous years, we plan to organize a joint tree planting event for all companies and their employees who wish to participate. This event is not mandatory for all who donate trees.

We hope you will join us in restoring the forest and fighting for a healthier environment.
