The third playground in a row is reconstructed by the funds raised through a humanitarian MasterCard credit card.
Today a new playground of the kindergarten “Leptirić” has been officially opened; it was reconstructed using the funds raised through the “Big Heart” MasterCard affinity card, a joint efforts of Eurobank EFG and the Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac. The “Leptirić” kindergarten playground and all the equipment therein are adjusted to the disabled children enabling their full inclusion and a care-free childhood.
“This humanitarian credit card helps reconstruct children playgrounds in collaboration with our friends from the Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac and presents the most efficient way of direct application of banking knowledge and resources used to contribute and benefit the society and future of our children. Furthermore, this card presents the simpler way in which our clients may contribute to the betterment of our children with no additional costs”, in the words of Nataša Strugarević, Human Resources Manager at Eurobank EFG.
Eurobank EFG and the Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac launched in February 2010 a humanitarian credit card “Big Heart“, under auspices of the Serbian Ministry of Education. By using this unique MasterCard, the Bank’s clients have an opportunity to support the reconstruction of playgrounds in public kindergartens throughout Serbia with no additional costs. The kindergarten “Leptirić” is the third kindergarten in a row which playground has been renovated with the funds raised through this card.
Our celebrated basketball player Vlade Divac expressed his pleasure with the speed of development of the “Big Heart” project and added: “This humanitarian credit card is one of the simplest ways in which business people and individual users of credit cards may contribute to better childhood of the children who attend public kindergartens”.
With every transaction on the Big Heart MasterCard credit card the Bank and the Foundation allocate 1% of total value of the transaction and 50% of monthly expenses for account maintenance to the project Big Heart and the reconstruction of kindergarten playgrounds. The clients of Eurobank EFG who opt for a MasterCard credit card “Big Heart” will not bear any additional costs and may use it as any other standard credit card. The more clients use this unique MasterCard credit card “Big Heart”, the higher support is provided for better future of the children in Serbia. So far, Eurobank EFG has issued over 7000 “Big Heart” affinity cards and with the funds allocated to this cause the next playground to be renovated belongs to the “Veverica” kindergarten in Pančevu; the playground is due to be opened in April this year.
