The Forum of Youth with Disabilities invites socially responsible employers to become part of the unique Network of Employers for Employment of Persons with Disabilities, which aims to create an inclusive working community in which persons with disabilities will find employment easier, and employers will find qualified personnel.
The network was launched in 2021, and improved with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through the project "Job Fit: Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities", which is implemented by the Forum of Youth with Disabilities in partnership with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, Caritas of Serbia, Smart Collective and the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities in Serbia.
The Forum of young people with disabilities, as the founder and coordinator of the Network, provides strategic support to employers for long-term and sustainable employment of people with disabilities.
"The network of employers for the employment of persons with disabilities gathers socially responsible companies that implement an active policy of inclusive employment and directly influence the improvement of the position of persons with disabilities. The network of employers encourages networking, exchange of experiences and consultations. In order to improve the employers' capacity to employ people with disabilities, we organize trainings, and workshops, we provide support in adapting the workplace and working conditions, as well as consulting services in all stages of employment, all with the aim of creating an inclusive work environment", said Jovana Krivokuća - Milovanović, executive director of the Forum of Disabled Youth.
So far, numerous successful companies that apply inclusive policies in their business have joined the network of employers for employment of persons with disabilities. These are; Wurth d.o.o. Forum of young people with disabilities has many years of experience in the field of employment of persons with disabilities, 18 years of direct work with persons with disabilities and 15 years of work with more than 100 employers. So far, numerous initiatives have been launched that have contributed to the improvement of the position of persons with disabilities on the labor market, and some of the most significant are the launch of the portal for employment of persons with disabilities www.zaposljavanje.fmi.rs and the establishment of career centers to support persons with disabilities in Belgrade, Niš, Zrenjanin, Subotica, Novi Sad and Valjevo.
