“Canadian-Serbian Golf Association” organized their first annual golf tournament at Millcroft Golf & Country Club in Burlington (Ontario), Canada in June 2009. Sixty eight players participated in this tournament and total amount of 4,000 Canadian dollars of donations went both to the Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac, for the “You Can Too” campaign, and to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
The initiative of the “Canadian-Serbian Golf Association “ brings together all people of good will and sponsors who wish to contribute to humanitarian organizations and institutions both in Serbia and Canada. The “Canadian-Serbian Golf Association” has a goal to attract even more people of various professions from other Serbian and Canadian associations and groups who wish to promote relationships and cooperation of humanitarian organizations in Serbia and Canada.
The funds which the Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac received from the Canadian-Serbian Golf Association have been used for the campaign “Co Can You” and the care of refugees and internally displaced people living in collective centers throughout Serbia.
