October 21st, 2016, Šabac - Elementary school „Sveti Sava“ in Šabac, the only school specialized in education of children with disabilities in Mačva District of Serbia, got a new and completely equipped sensor room. Thanks to the „Big Heart“ project, which is realized by gathered efforts of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and Eurobank in Serbia, a hundred children educating in this school through this sensor room got the opportunity to develop and upgrade their abilities and social skills which are necessary for thier inclusion in a wider community. The value of the donation is about 1,4 million dollars.
Funds for the donation was raiesed thanks to the clients of Eurobank, more then 22,000 of them, which are users of Big Heart credit card of Eurobank.
At this event guest of the school were the Mayor of the City of Šabac, Nebojša Zelenović, and the pleasure of the new project results was expressed also by Magdalena Tatić, Head of the Credit Department for private individuals and Anica Divac, the project representative of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation.
The host of the visit, Director of the school, Snežana Radovanović, said that the equipping of sensor room has a big significance not only for the school but for the social community in general.
Within the „Big Heart“ project , during the period of 6 years, 38 kindergartens and elementary schools have been renewed throughout Serbia, and a significant donation was directed to the reconstruction of whole ORL division in the biggest health centre for children, „Institute for Health Protection of Mother and Child of Serbia“ in Belgrade.
